And as I said, I'm not much of a computer expert, but I became an expert in avoiding Windows, so no worries there.
You can avoid Windows OS but still use MS Office365 in Chromium on a Pi.
Not sure if everything works but Designer, Outlook, Teams and Word did.
It needs your details and puts things out there on the cloud, so I won't say it is secure.
Don't have a Pi5 yet but Pi400 was fast enough to be usable, just.

LibreOffice seems mostly compatible and is free.
Gimp I use for Photo conversion and resizing.
There is a new version that should work better on Pi5/Wayland.

There is a default standalone PDF Document Viewer that is okish.
The PDF viewer inside Yahoo mail inside Firefox works, not sure how.
I think most big browsers can display PDF contents now.

I still have Mouse lockups/slowdowns in Bookworm on this Pi400, seems to happen if I have too many tabs open and run another big app.
Still a few bugs to squish, it might be a Mouse driver/Wayland/Wayfire issue.

Pulling power and hoping a power reboot fixes thing is what I do.
I then do session restore on Firefox and close a few tabs.
Corrupted files seem to get fixed on reboot and LibreWriter can restore open files too.
Probably not the best solution but it has worked since Bookworm was released.
It does not seem to be a fatal bug, just annoying.
