Odd! My Pi4B Bookworm 5.2 has Real VNC andI can connect fine using VNC Viewer to Android, Windows etc.

Real VNC was pre-installed. ??

Maybe wasn't working on early releases, in late 2023

You missed out "default mode" ie. it's "virtual mode" doesn't behave like it did for "Buster" : https://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/raspberry_p ... uster.html
ie. you have to explicitly run the virtual server because there is/was no symbolic link to the Virtual Mode Server (unless that's changed since my tests of course, which should show up in the "detective work"). I was not implying that RealVNC was not installed.
