Fair enough. You didn't mention that in the beginning, hence the question as to why you were going to that effort to make NTFS faster; when it would have just been easier to use ext4...which will be generally faster (and more reliable ) on Linux anyway.
The only reason that I can think of to use NTFS on Linux is if you have a need to directly access the drive from doze as well as Linux. ...and even then; I'd personally regard it only as a temporary solution until I could remove the need to swap the drive between Linux and doze.
