I, like a lot of others want to take my Raspberry Pi 5 out for walks on hot sunny days. But getting the right power supply is trying my patience. I've got a 12v Duracell battery and the usual 5v/5amp buck converter, but I'm having trouble connecting the converter to the Pi. I tried stripping the power lead, but it's like an Ariel cable with an inner core and loose wires on the outside.
I tried connecting these to the buck converter, but it wouldn't power the Pi, even when I swapped the wires around the other way, it still wouldn't work.
I'm sure other members have figured this problem out, and I'm passing guys in the street who have Raspberry Pi's tucked under their shirts and quite happily scanning every IP address in the area.
I'd be grateful for any help here.
