I have the same issue when interfacing with a RTC. This seems to be a known issue and is being tracked here.

Which kernel version are you using ? I am unsure , this is an issue concerning the kernel or the RPi5 HW itself.

This is the version I am on:
Linux raspberrypi 6.6.31+rpt-rpi-2712 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.6.31-1+rpt1 (2024-05-29) aarch64 GNU/Linux
