I haven't seen much about it at all, was expecting to see some sort of "Getting Started with Pigweed" document so didn't invest much time in figuring out what it was and whether it would be useful. For me, probably not -
If you’re building relatively simple stuff solely for the RP2040 and just want to get everything working very quickly and easily, then Pigweed probably won’t be a good fit for you. You’ll probably be happier with the official MicroPython SDK or the official C/C++ SDK.
I couldn't see RP235X listed as a hardware target and amusingly their RP2040 showcase link goes to a "Permission Denied" page. Some modules are in very early and active stages of development. They likely have unstable APIs and may not work on all supported targets.
Setting up new projects to use Pigweed is currently not very easy, but we are working to address that.
