Try re-installing to the microSD card using Imager, but this time set the (2.4GHz) WiFi details in OS Customisation to your WiFi SSID and its password, as well as SSH, username (pi) and password.
Boot the zero 2 and wait 10 minutes. Your home router should then give it an ip address.
Use that ip address to SSH into the zero from your laptop.
