It's usually the power supplies that fail first; generally because they use electrolytic capacitors in a relatively stressful configuration. That replacing the power supplies for the first time resolved the problem bears out this theory. As for the second replacement, were they power supplies from a reputable manufacturer? Or maybe as @Murph9000 suggested, the connector is getting worn.
Have you tried replacing at least one of the supplies again to see if that's the problem? (The overheating could be a side effect of low PSU voltage). Or using supplies from different manufacturers?
For reference, I have a Pi1 which has been running continuously for over 9 years now, without ever being rebooted (hoping it'll make the 10!).
I also have 3 Pis (Pi2, I think) which have been in continuous use for a lesser time, something like 7 years, with POE supplies; however they have been updated a little, and power cycled a few times (due to moving things around, rather than failures).
In general, electronics nowadays goes on for ever, unless provoked to fail; its only certain specific components which "wear out".
