Yes i can access the pi 0 from my computers keyboard and mouse, locally connected I think. My problem is that i'm constantly denied access. Username pi with password raspberry gets denied for some reason. The username in the userconf.txt file gets denied access too. I used to be able to connect to it and everything as well.
Does anyone know what's happening here? Why doesn't raspberry work as the password for pi? Why isn't it asking me for the new username I tried to setup? Will deleting userconf.txt let me login again as pi?
Can we deduce that you have a locally-connected keyboard and screen, and that you can access your 7-years stale Raspbian Jessie installation on your RPiZero that way?
If so, troubleshooting and repair are probably trivial.
But I am not going to waste time typing them up until this is confirmed.
(Setting your old microSD card to one side and performing a fresh installation of the current supported 32-bit RasPiOS Bookworm Lite onto a new or spare microSD card will get you up and running again faster than having a dialogue via these forums.)That might be a complicating factor. I don't understand what that means.I'm using it as a USB dongle. I've done this in the past.
Having this 0 as a USB dongle pi 0 would be the perfect use of it for me for a variety of reasons. So that's my ultimate goal with it.
