You can use it via USB3 if you use an adaptor. E.g. and external case.
Some work better than others, you'll be limited to USB3 speeds so not much different to using a 2.5" SATA drive.
Enough power is often the problem, you may need to use a powered hub, you might be lucky though.
It'll run at similar speed to a PCIe 2x1 if I remember correctly, (which is similar to the default Pi5's NVME hat speed.)
