By all means, do that, and put a note in the log, whatever; don't just ignore it. I bought a Pi 5, a Pi power supply, an Argon case, and would have bought a Pi SD card as well, but only very small sizes were available so I bought a Kingston card. I put it all together, installed the latest Raspberry Pi OS, and a few days (and much work) later I found myself with a completely wrecked file system. To date, the only manufacturers that have persistent issues are Kingston (which themselves are rebranded from another OEM) and Samsung (all A2 variants), so there's an argument for disabling those solely on OEMID.
It's hugely detrimental to Raspberry Pi's reputation that you can make an innocent off-the-shelf purchase of main brand products, install the official Raspberry Pi OS, and end up with a disastrously dysfunctional system. Kingston and Samsung are huge and logically must have a very large share of the SD card market, so I can't see how anybody can justify a "screw you" attitude towards people who happen to use one of their cards.
