I am presently trying out the Radxa Zero 3W and have usb gadget mode working with a tigervnc session. $24 for 1GB ram, quad-core a55, wifi 6 and 2 usb ports (device mode is usb 2.0, other port is usb 3.0). Not as fast as the Rpi4, but $10 cheaper and no memory issues so far.
