Just an update to my earlier posts regarding the display of singles with their correct A and B sides in case anyone else wants to do this. I have now tested my method of using the "album" tag to identify the relevant sides and it works fine, this means I can use my existing singles as is, once I have edited the album tag. Of course there is the age old problem with tags with song names having unwanted extra info and sometimes weird artist names, you are at the mercy of whoever tagged them originally, less of a problem nowadays but in the early days of mp3s there were a multitude of different tagging schemes, so there is a bit of work to do on the older files but at least I have a working method. So in summary, yes Fruitbox works just as I wanted without any need to request any changes. Just name each side with a different name in the "Album" tag (AA01 and AA02 for example) and sort by Artist and Album, linked songs is set to "Dual" this way the artist is correctly shown, in most cases one artist but if you have a single with different artists on each side both are correctly listed. Quite excited to be able to make some progress on new layouts now that this is sorted.
