Raspberry Pi OS • Bookworm on the RPI 2 not available?

Trying to update my trusty and daily working RPI2 to Bookworm Lite, I can't select it in Raspberry Pi Imager.

Only Bullseye is offered for the Pi2.

While in the announcement of Bookworm is stated:

In the meantime, if you do need remote desktop access on a Raspberry Pi Zero, 1, 2, or 3, we recommend sticking with Bullseye for the time being.

I don't need RealVNC,

So why isn't Bookworm Lite available for the Pi 2? Will it come?
