There's also my project that predates PiKVM and has been mostly ported to run on a picoW: https://github.com/thagrol/fakewake. The pico port currently can't ping the target PC so if you need the server to do that stick wit the Pi port.I'd recognize the server as being locked by pinging it every 5 minutes and if no reply is received, yes, issue reset signal. How would you recognize you server is locked up?
Using the Pi to pull the reste line low and release it? Possible for sure, but why do you need a Pi for that?
As for why I'd need a Pi for this..... because I have one laying around and don't have a motherboard with IPMI capabilities and can't think of any other way to accomplish my goal.
Been doing lots of reading over the past few hours and came across the PiKVM project. Sounds perfect for what I'm looking to do.
